Wow, how quick has that flown by? Lyons’ Den is celebrating one year in business and it has passed by as quick as a flash!

Having grown as a concept over the last few years, we officially opened the Lyons’ Den doors in November 2015. And here we are, one year on, with what has been a brilliant and breath-taking first year in business.

Our first year has been a great success, more than we could have ever dreamed of. We could not be prouder of our fantastic team and their professionalism. Our supervisor, Lauren Thompson does a great job organising the front of house team and their drive and enthusiasm to make The Den a brilliant place to dine out really shines through.

We’re lucky to have so many fantastic suppliers right on our doorstep. Being able to source such high quality ingredients locally has been brilliant and we will continue to do so in our second year of business.

The first year has seen its fair share of challenges and memories. Certainly the biggest challenge was making sure our tucked away restaurant got noticed. In fact, the location and quirkiness of our restaurant has become a huge positive, an event that customers look forward to. We love the expression on someone’s face when they see inside The Den for the first time!

One particular memory from early on in our business was when we were approached by the producer of ITV’s Prey. They were filming at the Dana and required food for forty cast and crew. They enjoyed their meals so much that some of them even came to The Den that evening for their dinner!

Moving in to our second year it is hugely important to us that we maintain the high levels of service we have founded ourselves upon. Along with our head chef Kev Hotchkiss, we’ll also be adapting the menu slightly. Certainly some of our most popular specials will be becoming permanent features. Keep your eyes peeled for the return of the Big Texan burger and the Toblerone Cheesecake becoming a mainstay!

We’re also delighted to announce that we’re already looking to expand and are actively seeking a second premises in Shropshire. Watch this space!

We can’t wait to reveal more of our plans as the next year passes by.

Lastly, a huge thanks to everyone involved in our first year’s success. Thank you to our staff, suppliers, family and friends for all of your help and support.
